Soon after beginning my search for places for our future retirement, I stumbled upon The Villages, Florida as an option. I learned that The Villages is the fastest growing metropolitan area in the US and was intrigued – I figured it must be pretty special if it was seeing that kind of growth. And it sounded like a fun place with so much offer – like a place where every day is a vacation.

The more I read, the more I realized how much there is to know about this place, and while the information is available, I kept having to piece together bits of information from a variety of sources in order to get a clear sense of what The Villages offers. I noticed that there is a lingo – basic terms and concepts unique to The Villages – and without a good resource to rely on it was difficult to understand what retiring to The Villages would mean. So I decided to create a website to publish what I learn, so that others may learn along with me.
